Herbal Education There are many ways to learn about herbs and broaden one’s experience. Herbguide is a great resource to start with herbal education and it is an excellent adjunct to continued learning. There are many ways to learn about herbs; books, hands on learning, distance education via online or through correspondence or in class learning. When considering a herbal education, think about what you plan to do with the information you have learned. Do you want to gain a basic knowledge of how herbs work? Do you want to learn how to make herbal medicines such as salves or tinctures for yourself or family members? Do you want to teach others and have them benefit from your experience. Or do you want to consult and work as a practitioner? When you are considering more learning, start with your goals and keep them in mind. There are also many different types of herbal education. Traditional Chinese Medicine is one branch of herbs that is an education in itself. Aromatherapy is a type of herbal education involving the use and application of essential oils. Unani Medicine is another type of herbal education which utilizes herbs and essential oils.
