Book review of 'The Paw Paw Program'

The book 'The Paw Paw Program, A "Christopher Columbus" Approach to Cancer,' is an intriquing book backed by solid references (13 pages of bibliography).
In it, author Lorene Benoit, a certified herbal consultant, puts forward the theory that the current approach to cancer treatment is getting nowhere.
After billions of dollars of research spent in the U.S. and Canada, cancer is still the second cause of death in 2010, no change from 2001.
Benoit posits that the cause of cancer is based on viruses and fungal infections and cites Royal Rife in the 1930s who showed that a virus caused cancer. He was honored at a banquet but 10 years later jailed with the research, labs and equipment destroyed.
Benoit looks at herbal treatments for cancer that have stood the test of time as well as other natural cancer treatments.
She spends a chapter on Paw Paw, one of the most researched and effective remedies in the treatment of cancer.
Subsequent chapters of the book deal with case studies and testimonials as well as food choices and recipes for health.
In writing about natural treatments for cancer, one needs to have good research to back up their thesis.
I found Benoit has done that with this book, giving people options to make the best choices for their health, as it is easy to fall into the pit of desperation to try anything in the hopes that something will work.
